What is it?

For children, it’s an adventure in appreciating your cultural roots and understanding Hindu values. Through storytelling, art, and interactive activities, you learn lessons of wisdom, kindness, and resilience—all while having fun. For adults, it offers thought-provoking workshops, opportunities to rediscover Hindu heritage, reflections on shared values, and a deeper connection to both community and self.

From discovering the inner self through yoga and meditation to engaging in games and group activities, Know My Hindu Values provides a unique opportunity for family bonding while fostering a sense of belonging within a larger community. It is a space where families from diverse backgrounds come together to celebrate shared traditions, values, and culture—a place to form lasting connections, identify collective social purpose, and create cherished memories. Format and Timeline

This 12-week program is thoughtfully designed to encourage active participation, learning, and engagement for children and their families. Each 90-minute weekly session features a diverse array of enriching activities, including physical exercises such as warmups and yoga, traditional Indian games (Khel), Subhashitam (wise sayings), storytelling, discussions, workshops, and creative pursuits like arts and crafts. Sessions will be conducted in person at the designated center location, ensuring an immersive and interactive experience. The homework given at the end of each session will contribute towards the children’s contest score.

Dates: March - May 2025 (dates may vary by center location)

Location: Each center will allocate a specific time and space for the sessions. Center locations and timings are noted below.

Fee: $25 fee per family (for the syllabus book and other materials)

Participation: We strongly encourage the whole family to join for the weekly activity. It is mandatory for at least one parent to attend all 12 weekly sessions to ensure active family participation.
